Wow, I just realized that some things have turned around for me, too! For the first time in 5 years, I'm earning some money (part-time)! Losing a job and depression had cratered me and it's taken time to feel able to even do something part-time. I'm providing some in-home support for someone who's got Section 8 Housing and struggles to maintain order in her home. I don't have a check in hand yet, but I know it's going to feel good.
After being in the Corporate Headquarters world for 30 years, with all the stress and pressure, this kind of work feels good. Helping someone who really needs it. And getting paid for it. Probably all that it will amount to money-wise will be to keep gas in my car, but what the heck! That's got to count for something.
Jeff, I've got my fingers crossed for you and CurlyQ. As you can see, it's taken me a long time to progress -- lots of times it's been two steps forward, 3 back, 4 to the side, then progress once again.
