From an e-mail I received this afternoon:
I wanted to invite you and your readers to see the documentary The War Tapes (the critically acclaimed Iraq War documentary filmed by three NH National Guard troops) tomorrow (July 31st) at 7pm. The movie will be opening on Friday, but there is a free sneak preview tomorrow at the Belcourt Theatre. To get a better idea of the movie, please check out the reviews section of The War Tapes site: http://www.thewartapes.com/reviews/Does anyone here want to go? If so, can you give a poor, immobile boy a ride from the 37209 (West Nashville near Charlotte & White Bridge)? I'm assuming I can get another ticket, since it invited me "and my readers," of which there's at least one... :)

Doggone JP I would've gone with you. I met and shared a taxi with the War Tapes duo in DC last April. Unfortunately I can't go Monday or Tues eve. Is it being shown more than one night? I'll probably end up doing what I usually do and wait for the DVD to come out.
Toni -- The freebie is only tomorrow night's screening. The Belcourt starts running it this coming Friday, I think.
