I'm usually a little reticent to give movie rental suggestions (tastes being such a factor). Since my niece and I have been trading tips for the last few months, I've gotten over it. :-) Some recent rentals I've enjoyed include:

Genghis Blues
Life in the Undergrowth (2-disc insect doc)
World's Fastest Indian
The Cooler
Mango of West Lurkistan -- Don't worry; I'm pretty open about flicks. Besides, I'll be checking all these (that are available) out of the library. For newer DVDs, the waiting list is years long (assuming no one drops their reserve request), so anything that's come out between 3+ years ago... those are the films I'll likely be able to get relatively quickly.
