Monday's Road Trip In Photos

Magical Journey -- a new age shop that sells cool incense, neighboring Cafe Coco to the north, on Louise Street.

Jimmy Kelly's famouse steakhouse, also just north (and across the street) of Cafe Coco.

Not as good as Dr. Tingle in Morehead, KY, but here in Gnashvegas... could you beat the Bull brothers for dentistry?

Here comes my bus! Yay! This is one of the old, shitty busses, though. And it smells bad, quite unlike the newer ones. That building dominating the background to the right of the bus is the back side of U.S. HQ for Caterpillar Financial Services (it's right next door to Loew's Vanderbilt Plaza on West End). I have a buddy that works there as a "competitive intel" guy in their marketing department.

Rush hour going west on Charlotte Avenue, right about 45th Street. Gas is $2.419, here.

Buckeye -- Not bad, but I'm a couple of miles from the nearest stop, unfortunately. My license has been suspended, 'cause I got caught a couple of times without insurance, and no money to pay the fines, so...

The service is fair, here... not terribly accurate time-wise (can be 10+ minutes late), but it hits most of the places in town I'd ever need to go, and it's pretty cheap. A week's unlimited rides is only $17.

Everyone seems to be well-behaved, too. They videotape all the happenings on the busses, so maybe that helps deter the bad behavior. Overall, though, everyone I've met has been courteous and friendly and best, and mumbling incoherently (but not disruptively) at worst. :)
