But... the tongue! Do you know how often this cat walks around with the end of his tongue pokin' out? Furthermore, do you realize how nearly impossible it is to get a picture of him walkin' around with his tongue just barely pokin' out? Arrrrgh! .
I love it when cats stick the tip of their tongues out, but I've not been able to capture a pic of one either. They seem to know when you're looking and they immediately pull their tongues back in.
Tena -- Yeah, I keep thinking of all the cartoon cats (Itchy comes to mind) that are depicted with their tongues barely sticking out. There's a reason for that! :)
Maybe the reason it's hard to photograph is because often, one has to get close to the cat to get the picture, and if they're awake, they tend to want to smell whatever's new and close to them in their environment. Cats have a sensory organ in their mouths that allow them to get high-res sniffin' goin' on. I imagine they have to pull the tongue back in order to make use of it... I notice Curly pulling his upper lip back a bit when he's in this mode. .
Soprano -- Some day, I'll manage to get a recording of him "talking" in his sleep. I've given up on the video... even the GL-1 couldn't get good video in the darkness he prefers for serious, REM sleep. The growling and mewling is quite entertaining, and I'm noticing he does it quite a lot! He's been sleeping close to me a lot these days, so maybe I'm just noticing it more. .
He SO does not drool!! Cute Curlypic tho. I can see right up his kittynose into his brain. Madu talks in his sleep all night long. It's kinda weird because he mumphles and it almost sounds as if he's saying something. Like, "Getcher fuckin' foot off me or I'll bite it, ya lout!"

Leigh -- Naw, that's pretty normal for kitty toofers. :)

Our little kitty sits around with the tip of his tongue sticking out pretty often -- the big kitty never does. Funny little beasties.
Curly is such a cool cat!
