Gnashvegas Mini-Eschacon 2006

UPDATE: We're going to do this thang on Thursday, 11/30/2006, after work (say 5:30 onward) in the Vanderbilt/midtown area -- likely definitely at Blackstone, Brewhouse or Coco, depending on what y'all want. There's no liquor or wine at Coco, though, so that will likely impact the decision.

Okay, lissen up! Scary Future Guy is trying to organize a waterin' hole happy hour for Atriotic Nashvillains -- both contributors and lurkers. I'm thinking the Thursday or Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 30 or Dec. 1), around 6 p.m. until...?

My preferred places, in no particular order*:

Broadway Brewhouse (midtown or west)
Blackstone (West End)
Cafe Coco (midtown)
Flying Saucer (Union Station)
Jonathan's (Bellevue)

E-me or comment, folx!

UPDATE: Minor changes made to update my preferred meeting places, and change the font sizes, etc. Also, be forewarned: If no one commits by next Wednesday, I'll unilaterally declare a spot, and I'll go there by myself and make fun of all of you, mercilessly, if need be. ;)

* IOW, places where I know I can get a suitable pint of hoppy beer. ;) Ideally, it'd be somewhere I can scooter to and from without too much lingering on highly-trafficked roadways, but since my job has weird hours, I can show up way before rush hour starts. Keep in mind that anyone wanting to live-blog the meet-up could do so from my notebook, at either Coco or Jonathan's, too.

All of those places are fine with me, JeffPres, so you and the others choose. Thursday 30 November is on the calendar!

pg -- I'll show off Curly's proclamation, though. :) Wish you could be here, but I wanna do a real Eschacon here in the spring, if at all possible. Maybe then...?

Soprano -- I'm leaning towards Blackstone. I haven't had a Red Springs Ale (my FAVORITE beverage on this planet) in WAY too long. And, it's probably quieter there, somewhat... my task will be not to get drunk and sloppy. :)

I'll send you some special treats to share....not Russell Stover candies, however, since the folks who own the company are Repubs.
