I Watched Altman's Nashville

... for the first time this evening. There's only one location that remains nearly identical to 1974-75: The Parthenon in Centennial Park. Ironically, it's probably had more millions thrown at it in the last decade than any of the other places that look completely different.

I used to work across the street from it. Literally.

Now, the remake of The Longest Yard, or The Player (which I saw once, some years back)?

Sorry about the no Curly situation, today. There'll be some tomorrow.

The thing that drove me crazy about Nashville was they never gave an explanation for why the singer was killed. When Altman was asked, he would just say he didn't know, he wasn't the killer!

Colleen -- I thought it was obvious that the shooter was insane, and thus needed no reason. Yeah, Altman could have padded an already-lengthy film by another ten minutes, showing us manifestations of his insanity, but it didn't seem necessary, to me. Walking around with a fiddle case, everywhere isn't normal... even here, in Gnashvegas. :)
