Mr. Sullen, mad, because I'm making over poor, sick LarryElvis.
Speaking of whom...
The poor, miserable wee beastie. The snot is drying around his eyes, and really looking gross. However, he's still eating well, playing and doing kitty stuff. I almost wanna wipe him over with a warm, wet washcloth, 'cause he's got dried snot in his fur, from where he's been bathing, and expectorating in some form... poor li'l feller.

A warm washcloth bath would be a nice thing. My cats love it.
Yes, do. He'll feel much better knowing that he's clean and handsome. (Kitties always feel better when they know they're looking their handsomest.)
I'll third that sentiment, JP. Give the lad a wipe with a warm damp washcloth. He'll appreciate it, you'll be happier knowing there'll be no kitty snot on every bed surface, and our Dearest Curlster will avoid the ooky germ-puppy sharing. Do, please. And merry happy.
And the best thing to clean cats ears is eye make-up remover. If it's gentle enough for our eyes, it's cool for cats. I asked my vet and he said it was a really good idea! I never washed the inside of my previous cat's ears but my vet say we have to. And the usually fighting and biting Henriette doesn't mind!

All: I did do the warm, wet washcloth thang last night, and yes, he LOVED it! He's still got some cruddy bits here and there, but I'll just keep sponging him off in this manner until he quits snotting all over hissef...

Jeff, seems like it would be really important that LE's eyes not become really glued shut. I know you know this. Seems like antibiotic ophthalmic ointment would be indicated.
Nag, nag.
Lenore -- He'll have it, tomorrow. I'm getting freebies at the vet, first thang in the morning.
Also, the photos are misleading. They're not glued shut, although the right eye is, when he wakes up. The rest of the time, he squints the right, and the left is fairly normal (yet still a little snotty).

Thanks for the update, JP. Poor LE. Thank goodness he's safe and warm and loved in a Forever Home instead of a shelter. Now he has a Dad to clean him up when he sneezes on himself. Ear tugs, CurlyQ!
