Proximity

Progress!

Curly's not off, sulking in another room, just 'cause The Kid is around, so that's good. In fact, he's been making more playful gestures tonight, running right up to LarryElvis, stopping, and then bolting off in some other direction, inviting him to give chase.

I wonder if by this weekend if we won't have full-blown cat wrasslin' here at the condo. :)

Well that's good news.

I'll bet Curly is going to really like having a buddy.

flg -- I sure hope so, since that was the main point of the exercise. I know it takes time for cats to adjust, and Curly's not had to live with other cats since he left Happy Tails in June of 2003. I think it'll work out, though... Curly's a bit moody, but he's still The Master, even if L.Elvis is the King. ;)

Look, you can tell Curly's making it known that he's Top Cat, and L.Elvis is fine with Junior Cat status. Our boys sit like that all the time, one on the back of the sofa and the other on the seat.

They'll be fine.

How's little L.Elvis's nose where he got scratched at the shelter? Does he let you put owie-cream on it?

strawhat -- I think it's healing nicely. It's darker pink, today, and looking smaller, so it's "drying up," if not scabbing over due to the wet environs. If I recall, that part ought to heal faster than other tissue.

So glad about the new addition! (Harry heartily approves of a fellow Siamese mix -- be aware that he'll get darker as he gets older. They're funny that way! And he may not be a loud talker, but he'll be a close talker, as you've already noticed. Harry chitters a lot but doesn't actually meow unless there's an emergency. Like tuna.)

Also so glad about the first day at the new work. We're so proud for you boys!

Hugs and kisses and hogs and kitties!

He sure is a handsome boy! Looks to me like they're going to do just fine together. Yay!

There were times when my two would suddenly take off after each other, practically bouncing off the walls, then all of a sudden, calm down and start grooming each other.

They made me laugh all the time. Now I will get to laugh at Curly and LarryElvis.

Lynnster -- Yeah; obviously, it's Curly I'm worried about, since LarryElvis' situation can't be anything other than an improvement (although to be fair, he would have been adopted -- he's just too cute and affectionate to have languished there). But things are slowly returning to normal, there, too -- this morning, Curly was asleep on the corner of my bed, which is normal. LarryElvis was asleep in the bathoom closet, ground floor. :)

Sandy-LA90034 -- Oh, ya think? Wait until I install the webcams!

Yes, but will it be naked cat wrasslin? (mps, having visions of L.E. and Curly stepping outa their li'l fursuits and linin' up for some manly heterosexual Jesus' General type love.)
