Satan Is (In) My Motor

Ho-hum... scooting along on the CDM this morning.

I get up to the end of Robertson Ave., and discover that my throttle is stuck in the wide-open (well, as wide-open as the "sweet spot" allows) position! Dang.

Fortunately, I am not the type to panic. I flipped the "engine off" switch to shut it down, pulled off to see what I could see. Well, the throttle cable's encased in a rugged sheath (fortunately), so if the cable's sticking in there, I'm not sure what can be done.

I decided I could safely get to work, as the brakes act as a quasi-clutch, but it was still a chore to keep it from roaring away. At major intersections with traffic lights, when mine was red, I'd just kill the engine, and start up right before it turned green. By the time I rolled into work, the throttle was behaving normally, again.

UPDATE: It's probably a good thang I always pack one of these on my person, hm?

Gotta love the gas mileage, but be careful on that thang!

(Yikes. Just got around to putting Fasterfox on the lappy, and it's behaving MUCH better.)
