Dude, a photo tip (don't take this the wrong way) focus on his face, while holding the button down half way, that will lock the focus, then you can move the camera until you get the shot composed the way you want, but his little face will still be sharp.
That's what I did. It's a Canon Powershot A410... $130 at the end of 2005. It's just not that great in anything other than bright, direct light, shooting something that isn't going to move. .
LE won't jump over the balcony, will he? I'm afraid a little one like him might think he can do it, unlike the wise Curly who knows it's too dangerous. Beware JP, WE don't want to loose LE!
Eh, it's just proof that even with the best equipment, a sluffer can't get the results a pro can get. I'm sure one or more of us were moving, and as I said, without really bright light, it's tough to get a sharp focus from six feet away with this camera. With the flash, it does pretty good from 2-4', and closer using the macro setting, but outdoor in indirect sunlight? Not so good. .

All the better to see his wonderful whiskers.

Oh, those sweet little baby blues!
This is the sweetest little kitty face!
Curly is strong and masterful, but LE has a sensitive soul, I think.

Hmmm, that's odd. It looks like the focus isn't on his face.
Maybe you should check and make sure the focus points haven't been moved off center.
