MCB Responses, 4, Vol. I

Due to the somewhat arbitrary and inconsistent application of the commenting policy at Music City Bloggers, I've decided that it's better for me to comment on things which appear there that are of interest to me here, since here, I know they will not be edited or deleted.

Here's what caught my eye:

Just because a certain party wins an election is not de facto proof that any particular policy of that party is “the will of the people.”

Which, Ned, is why polls are so helpful. Your folks keep touting the low Congressional job approval ratings. Guess why it's so low? Because Congress is not getting the troops out of Iraq. You're not touting the fact that Republicans are currently more approving of Congress than Democrats, since that wouldn't fit your narrative, but that's the fact, Jack.

70% of Americans want this goddamned goatfuck of a war OVER, ASAP.

You know it. I know it. Congress better know it before this time next year.
