My son and I used to frequent Marrowbone Lake because of the restrictions on motorized boat traffic. The area around the dam isn't much to write home about, but there is some pretty pristine scenery not more than a 20-30 minute paddle upstream. Depending of the season, you'll find lots of wildflowers and sometimes turtles, squirrels, turkey, and fox. Happy image hunting!
