Found a great map of the Natchez Trace. About where were you? Do you have saddle sores?? :)

My thighs will be sore, tomorrow, trying to pull my knees in out of the wind drag. :)

Most of the Trace is 50mph, with everything north of Leiper's Fork being 40mph (more bicycle traffic, nearer town).

So, I started at the terminus, started noticing the fuel gauge coming off "F" around Fly, so I took TN-7 into Columbia, and filled up. Turned around, got back on the Trace, and rode south to Metal Ford. Took photos, stretched, and headed back up the Trace, and headed west on TN-50 to Centerville. Got a bite, fuleled up again, and took TN-100 back past the terminus, and on closer to home.

The video was taken at "Tobacco Farm/Old Trace Ride," btw.

What a great day, JP. Thanx for the elaboration. I finally caught on to tracking your adventure at Eschaton and K. Cojones and was putting it together.

Can you not carry aux fuel?

Aux fuel: Only in a gas can! Not the safest thang, really. It's unbelievable, though... as many motorcyclists that ride the Trace, you'd think there would be signs telling you where fueling stops were... but you'd be wrong!

I think I'll undertake putting together just such a map, this spring/summer. I may have a "chase car," carrying additional fuel...

Jeffraham,
can you get a bigger fuel tank?

e.g. used to ride a CB400T 75 miles each way to school. for next set of such commuting, want a CB750F4 tank (same year as bike, holds an additional gallon before reserve).

Bigger tank: Don't think so. It's a big scooter -- Kymco People 250.
