Went to the allergy specialist today....yep. I'm badly allergic to cats. So i'll be filling myself with drugs every day for the rest of my life cause i an't getting rid of my Henriette, dammit!
Aw! I'm also allergic, but have become less so over the years. I strongly believe that one can become less sensitive to allergens with repeated exposure, and in my case, it seems to have worked. Still, I have to be careful to wash my hands after petting the kittehs... if I rub my eyes before washing up, there will be misery! :)
i'm guessing there are lots of kitteh slaves who have low level allergies to their masters. it took me a long time to realize that every time my little grey tabby rubbed her nose across my cheek i itched for hours. never happened with any other feline though.
