how did you get the lighting so perfect?

baudin -- It's the camera hack, I tell ya.

Of course, when the lighting is this low, I have to use a tripod, because I'm using a script to delay the shutter tripping (so I can get my shaky hand off the camera, first), and opening up the aperture a bit, lengthening the shutter speed, and the script finishes up by taking a number of shots sequentially, as fast as the camera is able (which isn't very -- about 1 shot every 1.8 secs).

This was taken very early this morning, and the lighting was quite low, as you can tell by Curly's pupils -- sun hadn't been up long, and it's raining. But this hack makes a Canon point-n-shoot think it's a more expensive DSLR. :)

Looks like a repected British politician getting ready to make a very serious pronouncement on the state of the world.

that's it! the pupils and the lighting combine to make it special. couldn't figure out what made it different. also, i can see more of curly's brown tone...which i really like. big tabby fan here.

as soon as the gods provide a new camera i'll give this a try.

also, thanks for that amazing photo shop job on the godchild. everybody wants a copy. you captured her essence. you work far too cheap.

baudin -- The best shots thusfar, IMO, were these of LarryElvis, and the light was even LOWER on those. Of course, we were outside, which helped... and I have an L.E. "hypnotize" move perfected, now. ;)

I'm very glad you like the Photoshop job... I think you overpaid for it (thank you!), but my goal in setting up the site was to do volume, volume, volume... it just hasn't worked out that way, for whatever reason. :(
