Around our house, the mutual grooming inevitably turns into The Lickee-Bitee Game, which inevitably turns into chasing around the house and pouncing on each other in utterly ferocious ways.

Which leads to a nap, of course.

Gummo -- that's how it happens here, sometimes. Any time they get really happy (after a vigorous petting), they get frisky and playful. What's funny, is that as aggressive as L.E. is, as soon as Curly stops fighting back, L.E. commences to grooming mode. Almost as if he's calling for a truce!

Priceless. As usual.

In our strange and wonderful cross-species relationship, I am Lenore's groomer. Just today, finally got out a difficult li'l mat that was bothering her. I had tried to brush and comb it out, but finally resorted to scissors. I can tell that she is much happier now that the problem is solved. It bothered her.

Bob -- I am fortunate in that both boys' coats are short, and have never been matted. They can tend to themselves quite effectively.
