Updates and Night Cats

(Written Wednesday)

So!

Winter weather! Gotta love it!

Even with the ceramic heater, it never got above 64°F in the condo, today, so I'm wearing several layers of dirty clothes, this evening. I rode to the main branch of the public library downtown, today (high of 39°F, sunny, high winds... after yesterday's constant rain), to return seven discs of The West Wing, and to check out seven more... broken in order as they may be. I also rode back to my side of town (and then some) to hit up Wally*World for the cheap Purina kibble my boys prefer, and kitteh litter -- after taxes, more than $11, and I assure you I buy the cheapest available kitteh litter. The boys don't seem to mind.

I have spaghetti noodles and sauce, two eggs, eight sausage patties, eight hot dogs and no bread other than the spaghetti noodles, but I will survive. I just figured after refueling the scooter today that I had made as many trips as I was willing to make without pay today, so some bread will be acquired on Thursday. Karin sent me another batch of the wonderful Gevalia coffee, which arrived on Tuesday, just as I was about to have to buy more coffee, and for which I am very thankful.

As luck would have it, I had not heard from my Verizon guy in a week, so I called him, tonight, and it's fortunate I did -- I had forgotten that Thursday was 12/2, and that I had an appointment that I could not miss. He reminded me of this, and I am grateful. He also reports that my Verizon rig is ready, and I should receive it sometime today, fully activated and ready to go.
