We started with the Powershot A410, and gave it to sittenpretty when the A560 came along. The A560 has been a good pal, but it never was 100% after the fall off the scooter at 55mph. It ate AA batteries like mad. Good NiMH batteries might get you a couple of photos before needing a 12-hour recharge... cheapo Aldi batteries might get you 20-30 non-flash shots per pair. So, the A560 is going to be the new shop camera at ESS, and Curly and LarryElvis will soon be coming to you via a Canon Powershot A1200, which can incidentally also shoot 720p HD video, and is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. And oddly enough, the price on each of these Canon cameras has been the same every time: $109, via Dell. Pretty amazing.
