Where I work!
Where the city gets its water -- J. Percy Priest Lake.
My supervisor, Jeff, monitoring the level of sodium permanganate left in the re-supply tank. On average, we deliver ~50 gallons of this per day into the intake water before it is pumped to the plant for coagulation and clarification. We have two 200-gallon tanks at the intake building. This re-supply tank holds 250 gallons. Keeping this chemical topped off in the system is a fairly frequent task.
Oh! And we saw a coyote on the gravel access road leading to the intake building early this morning when Jeff and I went to check on the sodium permanganate level. We came back to pump it right before lunch.
