Heya Jeffraham...I thought I saw you paging me on an Atrios thread earlier (had to shut down for awhile on account of Tstorms and Bad-T Warnings running loose; you might want to keep an eye out as both were last seen heading in your direction). As it is im-fucking-possible to catch up with comments over there I figured it was faster to answer here.
Something about Nash/TN blogging, this weekend? I got the county Dem local-offices caucus tomorrow night but I doubt if anybody in the Big City is all that anxious to know who our candidates for road commissioner and Recorder of Deeds is going to be. We do have a hot race in the County Clerk's office but there are potential racial overtones so I'd rather not go into a lotta detail. :)
Anyway, let me know what ya need. Oh, and btw I am not a "he". Xan is short for Xanthippe, wife of Socrates, and a notoriously mean and shrewish woman. everybody's gotta have a role model, right?
Xan -- Oops! Well, my apologies for the gender confusion. I'm not up on my old Greek stuff. :)
The page was In Re: I am apparently slated for guest-blogging @ NashvilleIsTalking.com *next* weekend, starting Friday night. So, I was hoping maybe you'd have something really cool/insightful/amusing up on CorrenteWire, so's I could post about it at NiT.com. :)
I didn't know they paid $100 for the weekend spot... hey, I can use the cash, so... I'm there! .
Ah, glad to get the dates straight. Actually I do have an idea for something that would be TN-specific, has to do with The Benefits of Buying Locally vs. going out of town (which here means either Jackson, Lexington or Paris) to get a water heater.
Okay, I didn't say it would be of spectacular save-the-world level of importance. It's intended as more of a metaphorical thing and now that I read this back I see it needs more work. Lots more work. :)
Still chasin' the head of the thread over at Atrios; people say they just "skim" through or jump to the bottom, but wtf the fun is that? See yuz in a bit...
Sandy-LA 90034 -- Heh, well... most of the time I spend there is jabbing at wingers with a stick, so I'm a little surprised to even be considered. :) There won't be much of that, next weekend, though... Brittney Gilbert, who runs the blog, is also a leftie, but she's pretty balanced in what she highlights. I'd want to do the same, since it is her regular day gig. .

Good for you, Jeffraham! You have a unique "voice" and I know you'll be well received!
