Well, I dunno. But he is under the sofa. He's been under there most of the day. The last time he spent this much time under there was when he had a cold in his eye, poor kitty.He seemed fine, this morning. He even followed me out onto the balcony and got a good brushing, as I examined the paving crew's work on the back lot.

hmmmm. paving crew? Didn't you start talking about having to move the car on Sunday? That's a couple of days of exposure to some pretty nasty petroleum-based fumes there. Could be causing nose-throat-respiratory irritation of some sort. Or could just be causing "HOLY CRAP THIS STINKS!" irritation, not unlike what you are most likely feeling but aggravated by the vastly greater sensitivity of the feline smellerator system.
Just a thought...
Xan -- The re-surfacing took place in 1/3rds; today was the section closest to my unit, so yeah, that's a reasonable assumption.
