pg -- Your concern is warranted... candles are the cause of many home fires. In fact, in December and January alone, one is almost 3x more likely to set fire to one's home with candles than any other time of year.
My candles are well-attended, and I have a fire extinguisher less than ten steps away from the only area where the candles are used (on my desk). .
grandefille -- Heh! Yeah, the candles occupy a far corner of my desk, and Curly can't fit up there. It's one of the few horizontal surfaces he seem to have no interest in exploring. Now, if I could teach him not to occasionally test my resolve over the kitchen countertops... :) .
It's the best I can do for the season, folx. Enjoy!
