Some might say this is the coolest thing ever (or... k00135+ +h4ng EVAR!); it is so completely geeky. I will buy a pocket protector, tomorrow, if I can find one.
It's a Belkin WiFi Phone -- now how ironic is that? WiFi uses the same radio spectrum frequency that the older cordless telephones use. Yet this acts like a wireless phone on steroids. You can use it anywhere you would have WiFi signal that you could connect to with a notebook, etc. -- any open net (or even a WPA net, if you have the key!), and you can be Skype-in', yo.
As you can see, it's slightly larger than the newer cell phones -- and make no mistake: This is not a cell phone.
Still, a good investment for me. Now I can Skype without worrying if LarryElvis is going to chew through my headset cable. :)
HOWEVER, THIS was NOT the COOLEST THANG I SAW TODAY!
That honor goes here:
Oh, Rev. Meaker, you, sir, have great, shiny, heavy ones. I genuflect, appropriately.

If Jesus did not speak English, how come the Bible is in English? Hmmm?
sweet. keep us updated on how it works. the phone, not jesus.
So aside from price and color, what is the difference between the Belkin and Netgear phones?
barry from AK -- About $20, as far as I can tell. :)
This is early-adopter stuff. It worked QUITE well this evening, though. Sign onto Skype and I'll try to place a call... or call me before midnight CST.
