If you've been running from the law, as I have*, here's your chance for potentially tender mercy.
* It's not as dramatic as it sounds. I got cited twice for no proof of insurance and expired tags back when I was struggling in late 2005, and then I went and missed the court dates. D'oh!

Is there a warrant out for you? Don't make them come get you, if there is. Failure to appear to answer misdemenor charges is a two week stay in the county hoosgow here in Big D, then a new court date and some more fines on top of it all.
Wadaya mean "How do I know?"! None 'o yer business, Bunkie. Go pet your cats, or something.
Take any amnesty or deal you can get :)

email me if you're still looking for a lawyer in Nashville. I know a couple of people.
Jeff, hope this is, indeed, your salvation!
jeffraham,
If you need a ride over there, you know who to call, and I don't mean Ghostbusters. :-)

That's what I can't determine, on my own. I thought I could here, but I get "no rows returned," using that form. Since I missed court, I have to assume there IS a bench warrant, but obviously it's not the kind of offense where they come lookin' for ya. :)
So, I'll go to this thang in two weeks, and see if just payin' my salary for two weeks will settle the matter.

Soprano -- Aww, thank you, dear! This church is right off the #25 bus route, so I think I can deal with it, but I do appreciate the offer. Besides, if I know you, you'd wanna hang around and see how it turns out... and if it ends badly, there's no point in BOTH of us going to jail! ;)
