... sanity wins out over desperation. :)
I have a tiny bit of income about to roll in, guaranteed, and more than a glimmer of hope for getting enough here locally to almost pay my rent (I'm talking about two very-part-time jobs that would bring in around $600/month). I don't want to say too much about this right now, 'cause it involves a couple of other people who may read the blog who will be losing this income soon, regardless of my interest. Neither of them need it, really, but I'm sure they'll miss it, and be even unhappier than they are, right now.
Now that I think about it, there's actually a third related very-part-time job that might bring in another $100 or so, each month.
Right now, only the one that pays $80/mo. is mine for sure, but we'll see about the rest.
Second, Aldi might call next week, eh?
Third, I'm in discussions with a local business to do some video web productions for them, in a barter arrangement. Believe me, what they have, I will need, so this is a very good arrangement. Plus, once I have a few of these shorts up on their web site, I can hopefully combine that with the "Healthy Chowhounds" shorts to make the beginnings of a video portfolio. Hopefully, I can leverage that into paying customers, elsewhere, locally.
Forth, V for Virginia and Xan have turned me onto a part-time, work-at-home lead. It's possible, but I would have to get a landline phone.
Fifth, even though I'm not wild about the idea, I can sell the Vino for a short-term injection of cash. I also have a couple of guitar amps that I haven't been able to sell off, previously, so there's that, then.
And finally, as you know, I'm pimping the new site shamelessly. :) If you would, please tell all yer Photoshop-impaired blogbuds about this, and that can't hurt a bit! :) And thanks to the few who're working with me now on various Photoshop tasks... y'all RAWK.
Surely, I can scrape up $1000/month with some combination of all of these ideas.
It's always darkest before the dawn. C'mon, sun!

Jeez... Best of luck, JP.
Kittehs!! Free again! How long has it been? Oh, right, two days. How was life during captivity? What? You were treated like matinee idols as usual? Carry on, then. :)
You too, Jeff!
Aldi's is most definitely likely to call in a week or so. Big companies always take a long time to get back to you.
