Jeff, it ain't easy but you can do it. I smoked for more decades than I want to mention, but now have been rid of the habit for over a decade. (I know, you have to be really old to throw that many decades around.) To this day, I wish I had quit earlier.
You.Can.Do.It. You can be a smoke-free Prestonian!!1
Concentrate on what you don't like about the habit.
Good luck Jeff, I smoked for 48 years and finally stopped 14 months ago. The only thing that got me to quit was an attitude adjustment; I went from 'I know I have to stop' to 'I want to stop'. I also found drinking a lot of water was helpful. MVC

Jeff, I gotta add another comment, because I am really pulling for you, and, as I said above, I've been there.
Think about how your body is going to thank you. Your lungs are going to say "Oh thank Jebus, not more BOHICA for us. Yeah!!"
You can rule you. No devices needed.
