our cat has designated our desk as his time out lounge. when he's laying there, we are not allowed to touch him or else he'll scratch you. when he's on the couch, it's cuddle time. i didn't realize cats have time and geographically designated boundaries.
L.E. got me. Minor scratch, but you can see how my histamine response kicks in. Yes, I have neomycin ointment on there, after a thorough washing.

It comes with the territory.
If it starts swelling soak it in epsom salts. If it start turning hot and/or red get thee to a bottle of antibiotics.
