R.I.P., Moe

I woke up just after 4 a.m., as old men often do. I saw that Moe was still sleeping in the same spot, in the same position as when I went to bed. I checked, and sure enough, he was cold.

Perhaps he had too many roundworms, or a congenital heart defect, or... well, who can say. He was a delight the two whole days I got to know him, and yesterday, he was super-energetic and playful. But now, he is gone.

I'll miss him.

There's never any shortage of cats who need good homes, love, attention and human companionship. Another will find me, as they always do.

Aw, sweet Moe. You will be missed. I'm glad you're last days were filled with play, love and food. And that you left us while dreaming, I hope of more such days.
I'm so sorry, JP. Thanks for making that kitten's life so good, no matter how short the time. Hugs to you and scritches to the GWOT

As I told you earlier today, buddy, I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. I'm so glad, however, that Mister BabyCat was safe and warm and so very happy with y'all. He was a lucky little boy, and he'll have a place in your heart for a long time. I hope it's a comfort to you knowing how happy he was. Forever was far too short for him and for you, but you were still the finest forever home he could've had.
