R.I.P., Moe

I woke up just after 4 a.m., as old men often do. I saw that Moe was still sleeping in the same spot, in the same position as when I went to bed. I checked, and sure enough, he was cold.

Perhaps he had too many roundworms, or a congenital heart defect, or... well, who can say. He was a delight the two whole days I got to know him, and yesterday, he was super-energetic and playful. But now, he is gone.

I'll miss him.

There's never any shortage of cats who need good homes, love, attention and human companionship. Another will find me, as they always do.

Dear Rebecca

I Am Not A Dick, but I play one on the Int3rtr0nz. In fact, I've been doing that for 25 years, come September. I do it quite well if I do say so myself (and I do).

Sincerely, I wish to help. I luuurve  Gawker Wonkette almost as much as Breaking Bad, so hopefully you will understand the gravity of this utterly untenable situation.

I'm not The Dick who wrote you about HNTP.com, but I could have been on the right day. I think I have an innate aversion to purple pixels, unless they're on a Ubuntu desktop wallpaper, where they are naturally, just fine. But, this is not the crux of the biscuit.

♥ Your Friends

Two friends lost family pets in the last 24 hours, so just a reminder: Hug them, love them, let them know they matter.

Five One Dolla Footlongs

Any-Anytober!

Now it's too late for you to play any of these numbers, and dilute my sure winnings!  Mwahahahah!

The story: No, I don't spend $5 on a lotto drawing. I sometimes spend $1, as I did this time. The ditz working at Mapco just happened to give me this ticket. I guess she had four already dialed in, or something, but neither of us caught it.

Now, someone at Baby Blue said a recent Big Winnar asked for a MegaMillions ticket, and got a Powerball, instead... and it was the winner. So maybe accidental tickets are the extra mojo.

Anyway, it would be nice. I only yesterday paid the last half of the rent for last month, and it is due again this Wednesday. I have $40, and a little food. I know this is unrealistic -- the realism is here. At least Scooter Family has an unheated basement garage I can live in, if and when...

In Memoriam: Ginger

I did not know Ginger, but one of her humans, Sallyh, is one of the finest humans I know. Ginger has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and I know she will be much missed by her family, both two-legged and four. May she romp well, chasing the ball in the Summerlands.

Maybe Cats Will Help

It sucks. Steve Gilliard is gone. I've missed the feisty guy ever since he took ill, again. Such a shame... far too young to leave.

We'll Miss You, Maxx

Maxx passed on, today. He will be missed by so many. He was Curly's brother from another mother.

He is at peace now, and for that, we must be thankful, even as we are sad at his departure.

Play on, Lion Kitty. We love you, buddy.
